We are seeking an experienced candidate to join our continually growing team to advise across our client base.
The role – Built Environment Account Director / Associate Director
Acting as the lead on client accounts, with a focus on public affairs relating to the built environment and playing a key part in growing our built environment practice.
Nurturing and maintaining relationships with existing clients and fostering relationships with new prospects.
Acting as a strategic adviser to clients, providing insight, analysis and advice day-to-day.
Leading client meetings, ensuring consistent high standard of work, and providing consistent and high-quality advice.
Supporting and coaching the junior consultants with their work and progression.
Playing a key role within the team on business development and supporting delivery of the built environment practice marketing plan.
We’re looking for candidates with:
Experience executing communications, public affairs and consultation campaigns across channels, with a focus on planning, development, infrastructure, the built environment and/or local and regional government
A keen interest in the built environment, current affairs, storytelling, politics, policy, digital campaigning and business.
Excellent writing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
A passion for a fast-paced and varied working environment.
Demonstrable experience of account management and line management.
Candidates with 6+ years’ experience in a communications role at a consultancy or relevant in-house role are preferred.
The successful candidate will:
Work with well-known companies and brands making a tangible contribution to shaping the built environment and economic growth in the UK through development projects – this will include clients in the housing, regeneration, commercial development, energy and infrastructure sectors
Help these clients, and our team, to develop and execute campaigns
Be part of an exciting consultancy focused on delivering high quality work that helps our clients act to earn reputation and advocacy

Bonus: Discretionary bonus of up to 15% of salary if the company performs and you individually perform
Flexible working policy including 3 days in the office, including Mondays.
TOIL policy: working 29 in 30 days for all employees - i.e. equivalent of one day additional leave per month
