James Starkie

James is a Founding Partner at 5654 & Company.

Previously he worked on the front-line in politics and Government, first as a core member of the Vote Leave campaign team, and then as a senior political adviser to Secretaries of State including Michael Gove, Dominic Raab and Priti Patel.

His experience includes working with businesses to understand stakeholder and public opinion, and building campaigns to influence it while working at YouGov and Portland. Whilst at YouGov James worked on a range of projects including in Iraq, running research projects into social and political attitudes, and helped to establish their Dubai office as the regional hub. James is also a regular political commentator in his own right featuring on Sky, ITV, Channel 4 and the BBC.
